Online Greeting Cards
Since the internet has started to take over the world, online greeting cards are becoming much more popular than buying a traditional card and mailing it. It only takes a few moments to find online greeting cards, personalize them, send them on their way and let someone know that you were thinking of them without even leaving your house. Some people will argue that getting an online greeting card is not as personal as receiving a nice card in your mailbox. Why is it less personal? Because someone didn’t spend the 39 cents to purchase a stamp and mail it? Most people throw out greeting cards after they receive them. Instead of wasting the paper that a card is made from and simply trashing it, sending online greeting cards won’t be found laying in a landfill taking up precious room.
Some people take offence to getting an online greeting card from someone else. They might enjoy having the physical card to display and save for years to come. Chances are, you already know who those people are and may want to take a few extra moments to buy them a card and mail it to them. Many people are like that around the Christmas holiday. They display the cards that they receive on walls, doors, fireplace mantels, almost anywhere. If you’re sending online greeting cards for Christmas, they aren’t able to do that and are depriving them of one additional card to display. Christmas seems to be the most major of occasions that requires sending out a physical card and not online greeting cards. You don’t want to aggravate anyone around the holidays. They might remember that and put you on their naughty list for the following year! Then, there’s Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. You may want to opt for a regular card for those occasions as well. Your mother probably spent hours bringing you into the world and you can take a few extra moments to mail her a card.
